A. No. Fresh produce is first chosen for the processing.
Q. Is the cutting process manual or mechanical?
A. The cutting process is both manual as well as mechanical based on the kind of product.
Q. Why should I buy Cut Vegetables and Fruit?

Q. How is quality checked?
A. We audit quality of raw material, processing facility and finished products to make sure that the quality that is delivered to the customers is not compromised on.
Q. What kind of knife is used to cut vegetables and fruits?
A. Food grade Stainless Steel (SS) knives are used to cut all vegetables and fruits. Iron knives are not allowed at the processing centre. In fact most of the machinery components that come in touch with RO water used processing and raw material, are made of food grade SS.
Q. Shall cut fruits and vegetables deteriorate quickly than whole fruits and vegetables?
A. The cut of fruits and vegetables takes place in at a controlled temperature. Fruits and vegetables are first stored in cold stores for pre-cooling. Then they are transferred to rooms with a controlled temperature of 15 degrees. The cutting and packaging and labeling process happens simultaneously after which it is sent back to a cold room for storage until refrigeration. It is then moved to you in cold vans or shipper boxes and placed in chillers at your end. Maintenance of cold chain does not allow the produce to deteriorate quickly.

A. Vegetables are cut at modern processing facilities where safety, hygiene & efficiency are taken care of.
Q. Are cut vegetables less nutritious?
A. It is a misconception that cut vegetables are less nutritious; in fact all nutrients are intact in cut vegetables.
Q. Do I pay too much for the convenience of cut vegetables and fruits?
A. There are many cut items which are sold almost at the price of whole. Our sourcing advantage and location gives us extra edge on cost front.
Q. Why do I always feel that I am paying too much to purchase packed and cut vegetables or fruits?
A. One often tends to forget the conversion from whole to cut. (eg. When you buy one kg of cauliflower as a whole, after cutting it you will get just 600 gms). Therefore when you buy cut you need to take the waste into account too.
